Detroit
I know, you thought the same thing I did.....ewwww. But actually it's very nice. AND the biggest damn airport we have ever been in! Very modern with an indoor tram the size of the Seattle monorail and a dancing fountain. Squirted up just like those fancy things in European bathrooms. And a Chick-Fil-A. Smelled good but we were headed to get our fancy Toyota Rav4. Ended up with a Buick POS and drove it to the Ford Museum ! Thought of you Carol (you know who you are) the whole time. I didn't sleep on the plane much but Belinda zonked. Good flight. I've heard some bad things about Delta but the people were nice and the plane took off and landed OK. No doors fell off. But I'm withholding judgement until after our Detroit to Amsterdam flight tonight. OK, gotta go take a nap in our Buick before we return it and go wait in that fancy airport. More later.

This is so much fun reading your blog Scotty! I feel like I'm on a virtual vacation!!! Can't wait to read the next installment, and find out where else you're going. I was in the Detroit airport this past June, and it is huge. So much walking to get from one place to another. Did you know there are different separate airports there, many miles apart from each other depending on which airline you fly in on and which one you're flying out on? You have to take a 20 minute bus ride through the city to get to the other airline. Then Security again and lots and lots of walking to get to your gate. Exhausting! Have a safe trip, and enjoy.
