Hello folks. This is my first attempt at blogging since 2010. A long time for a guy my age to remember how it all works. So please forgive hiccups and burps along the way. I'll try not to fart. Check back after 6 Sept (the correct way to show dates by the way) and see how we like Detroit where we are scheduled to spend a 13 hour layover!
If you have a chance to qualify for the TSA Pre-Check option, DO IT ! No removing shoes, no pulling out your laptop, and they don't check your toiletries. We were through in maybe 3 minutes! We kept asking "Don't we take our shoes off? Don't we lay out our tablets? What about out toiletries ?" Finally the TSA guy says " LISTEN UP! Do not open your back packs. Do not take out your toiletries. In fact put your electronics in your bag and only take out large liquids..... And I mean like gallon containers!"
We were sooo confused. It just didn't seem right! It couldn't be because of our age could it? If that's a qualification, don't rush it. We were planning on spending 30 or 40 minutes in line and now we're sitting at the gate THREE HOURS EARLY!
